Terms of Use

1. Agreement to the Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your download, trial, purchase, and use of Job Profit Workbook, a Windows application from Zimbul Apps LLC (“Zimbul Apps,” “we,” or “us”).

By installing, starting a trial, or buying a license, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you purchase or use Job Profit Workbook for a business, you represent that you have authority to act for that business.

2. Job Profit Workbook License

Job Profit Workbook is licensed, not sold. You receive a limited license to use the software as described in these Terms. You do not receive ownership of the software, branding, or related materials.

3. Trial

You may use Job Profit Workbook free for 7 days. No credit card is required to start the trial.

Starting a trial requires a one-time online connection and limited registration information, as described in the Privacy Policy.

When the trial ends, your jobs remain on that computer. Editing stays locked until that computer is licensed. Backup remains available.

4. Purchase and Payment

After the trial, a license is $199, paid once. There is no subscription.

Payment is processed by Stripe Checkout. Card entry happens on Stripe’s pages.

A completed purchase licenses the computer that started the trial and completed checkout, subject to these Terms.

If we issue a full refund for a Job Profit Workbook purchase, the license associated with that purchase ends. Continued use after a full refund is no longer authorized under the license. The installed software does not currently turn itself off automatically after a refund.

5. One-Computer License

A $199 purchase licenses Job Profit Workbook for one Windows computer.

The license is tied to that computer, not to a named-user seat count. People working for you may use the software on that licensed computer for your business.

One purchase does not license additional computers.

6. Replacement Computer Assistance

The product does not include a self-service way to move a license to another computer.

If you replace a computer, or a significant system change causes the license to stop being recognized, contact contact@zimbulapps.com.

We may provide replacement activation assistance after we verify the original purchase and the circumstances. Assistance is discretionary, subject to verification and reasonable anti-abuse controls. We do not promise automatic transfer, unlimited transfers, reactivation in every case, or remote deactivation of an old computer.

7. Permitted Business Use

You may use Job Profit Workbook for legitimate internal business purposes, including estimating jobs, preparing customer quotes, recording actual costs, and reviewing job profitability.

8. Restrictions

You may not:

These restrictions do not stop your employees or other authorized people from using the licensed computer for your business.

9. Customer Data and Backups

You own and are responsible for your business and job information.

The application stores that information on your computer. We do not keep a cloud copy of your workbook.

The software can create a local backup. You are responsible for keeping backups of information that matters to you. We cannot restore jobs from a lost or failed computer unless you still have a backup.

10. Updates and Future Versions

We may provide fixes, maintenance releases, or other updates at our discretion. We do not promise automatic updates, lifetime updates, or that every future version is included.

This license covers the licensed version you purchase. A future major version or a separate product may be offered separately and may require a separate purchase.

11. No Professional Advice / Customer Responsibility

Job Profit Workbook is a calculation and workflow tool. It is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.

You remain responsible for estimates, costs, pricing, markup, labor assumptions, taxes, quotes, actual-cost entries, business decisions, and any legal or regulatory obligations. You must decide whether the outputs are appropriate for your situation.

We do not guarantee profit, margin, estimate accuracy, tax accuracy, compliance, customer payment, or project results.

12. Intellectual Property

The software, name, design, and related materials belong to Zimbul Apps LLC or its licensors. Your purchase is a license to use the software, not a transfer of ownership.

Your workbook contents remain yours.

13. Availability and Warranty Disclaimer

We provide Job Profit Workbook on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for every purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Some states do not allow certain warranty disclaimers. In those places, this section applies only as far as the law allows.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zimbul Apps LLC is not liable for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or other indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the software.

Our total liability for claims relating to Job Profit Workbook is limited to the amount you paid us for the license that is the subject of the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit, including liability for fraud or for personal injury caused by our willful misconduct where such a limit is prohibited.

15. Termination

These Terms continue while you use the licensed software.

If we issue a full refund for a Job Profit Workbook purchase, the license associated with that purchase ends. Continued use after a full refund is no longer authorized under the license.

We may refuse further support or replacement activation assistance if we reasonably determine that licensing restrictions or these Terms have been violated (for example, license circumvention or redistribution).

Uninstalling the software does not by itself delete your local workbook files unless you remove them yourself.

If your trial has ended and the computer is not licensed, editing remains locked as described above.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date when we do. Continued use after an update means you should review the current Terms.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the software.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

We have not required arbitration, a class-action waiver, or a jury-trial waiver.
